Sarah graduated from Ross Medical's Veterinary Assistant program in February 2018, and is a certified Veterinary Assistant.  She started at East Main Animal Hospital in January 2018 as an extern and was hired after her externship ended.  Sarah has always loved animals from a young age and loves working with them in such a close setting. Outside of work, she enjoys playing videogames, spending time with her fiancĂ© Don, and her two fur babies. 




Leanne  graduated from the MSU Vet Tech Program in December of 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science in Veterinary Technology.  She has been working as a Licensed Technician since graduation.  Leanne startedworking at East Main Animal Hospital in November of 2014 after getting married and moving to the area.  It has been her passion to work with animals, and she loves working here!  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring outdoors, and kayaking. 

Alex joined East Main Animal Hospital to obtain animal husbandry skills through a work study program.  Alex enjoyed her stay so much, she joined our team February 2018.  In her free time Alex enjoys fishing and kayaking with her family.

Diana Shoup

Diana Shoup, is East Main Animal Hospitals Practice Manager, a Licensed Vet Technician and has been working with animals in a Veterinary setting since 2002.  Diana was raised on a hobby farm that included everything from Cats, Dogs, Goats, Cows, Chickens, Horses, Emus, and more.  Diana has grown her talents for working with animals through many experiences at previous Veterinary Hospitals with very talented individuals.  Always with a thirst for knowledge for learning and teaching, she loves working with your furry babies but truley enjoys making sure you know what you can do to keep them safe.  Dr Shoup and Diana has been married since 2006 and have 2 wonderful boys, and a full furry family to show for it.  Diana enjoys everything outdoors and spending time with her family in her free time.

About Us

Dr. Curtis Shoup has been with East Main Animal Hospital since 2012 when Dr. Delong retired.  Dr. Shoup graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and practiced Veterinary Medicine 4 years in Chesaning Michigan.  Once he started to settle in Dr. Shoup and his wife Diana wanted to be closer to home while raising a family.  With home for Dr. Shoup being in Athens, and his wife in Vicksburg, Galesburg seamed a perfect spot to call home.  Dr Shoup has known of his passion for animals and decided to start his path of becoming a Veterinarian since he was 8 years old.  He loves working with pets and their parents on a personal level.  If you should have any questions feel free to ask, we enjoy educating. In Dr. Shoups free time he loves spending time with his wife and 2 boys, 2 weimaraners, 3 kitties, 3 Sheep, outside, hunting, fishing, and camping.


Katelyn has been with East Main since early summer 2016; and now joins us during her summer breaks.  Katelyn is very active in the animal world and is currently enrolled at  Michigan State Vet School.  Katelyn has a passion for all animals, from kitties, to puppies, cows, to equine, and everything in between.
